1. Who we are

Expenselyn is developed and operated by Nicoseal, contactable at privacy@expenselyn.com.

2. Information we collect

We only collect the information needed for the app to work:

• Account data: your email address, used to create your account and sign in.
• Financial data you enter: expenses, income, amounts, categories, and any other financial data you manually add to the app. This is what lets Expenselyn show you your reports and statistics.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any other device data, unless we add a feature in the future that explicitly requires it, in which case we will update this policy.

3. How we use your information

We use your data exclusively to:

• Create and maintain your account.
• Show you your own expenses, income, and statistics within the app.
• Sync your information across devices, if you use that feature.
• Contact you about matters related to your account (e.g. password recovery).

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

4. Who we share information with

For the app to work, some data is processed by external providers acting as data processors, not as owners of the information:

• Supabase: hosts the database and handles user authentication. supabase.com/privacy
• Vercel: hosts the web version of the app. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Expo / EAS: handles the build and distribution of the mobile version. expo.dev/privacy
• Google Play and Apple App Store: handle distribution of the app on each store, subject to their own privacy policies.

These providers only access the data needed to provide their service and are contractually bound to protect it.

5. Security of your data

Your data travels encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between your device and our servers. Access to the database is protected through authentication and row-level security policies, so that only you can see your own financial data.

No system is 100% foolproof, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.

6. Your rights over your data

At any time, you can:

• Access the data you entered, directly from the app.
• Correct or delete your expenses or categories from the app.
• Export your data in a downloadable format.
• Delete your account entirely, which permanently removes your information from our servers. You can request this by writing to privacy@expenselyn.com.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal and financial data is removed from our systems, unless we must retain certain information for a limited period to comply with legal obligations.

8. Children

Expenselyn is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age that applies in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you within the app or by email before they take effect.
